The method
How the job runs
The order matters more than most people expect — several of these steps stop the one after it going wrong.
Look at the wall before touching it
Loose render, failed pointing, gaps around vents and windows, and anything already cracked. Pressure finds every weak spot on a building, so they get found first.
Protect what shouldn't get wet
Planting, doors, vents, electrics and open windows. Most of the damage from exterior washing isn't to the wall.
Match the method to the surface
Some walls take a proper pressure wash. Some take a low-pressure soft wash and time to work instead. Using one setting for everything is how render gets ruined.
Work top down and rinse off
Dirty water always runs down onto something. Working in the right order means it runs onto what hasn't been cleaned yet, not what has.
Clear up at ground level
What comes off the wall lands on the drive, the path and the planting, and it gets rinsed down rather than left there to dry.

Growth comes back on a shaded wall
North-facing and shaded walls will go green again in time — that's the aspect, not the clean. A wall that gets sun most of the day stays clean far longer.
Existing damage
If render is already blown or pointing has failed, washing it will find that out. We'd rather point it out beforehand than have you discover it afterwards.

Will pressure washing damage my render?
It can, and that's exactly why the pressure gets matched to the surface. Modern renders and pebbledash often want a low-pressure wash rather than a hard one. Any company that uses the same setting on every wall will eventually mark one.
Do you do commercial premises as well as houses?
Yes — both are core work. Shopfronts, units and commercial frontages get the same treatment as a house, and we'll work around opening hours where that matters.
How long does a house take?
It depends on the size, the surface and how much growth is on it, so we'd rather quote against your actual building than give you a number that turns out to be wrong.
