PVC & Gutter Cleaning in Belfast

Blocked guttering doesn't announce itself until water is running down the wall or into the roof space. Cleaning it out and washing the PVC at the same time is the sensible way round, because everything you clear from the gutter runs down the fascia on its way out.

What it covers

What we take on

Where pvc & gutter cleaning usually gets called for, in homes and on commercial premises alike.

  • Gutters cleared out

Moss, leaves, grit off the roof and everything else that's found its way in over the winter.

  • Downpipes checked and flushed

A clear gutter feeding a blocked downpipe still overflows, so the whole run gets checked, not just the horizontal part.

  • Fascias and soffits washed

The green streaking and grime on the boards under the roof edge, front and back.

  • Bargeboards and gable ends

The high, awkward boards that never get touched otherwise.

  • PVC window frames and sills

Cleaned as part of the same visit where you want them done.

  • Conservatory frames and roof bars

Where dirt and growth collect along every join and channel.

The method

How the job runs

The order matters more than most people expect — several of these steps stop the one after it going wrong.

  1. Clear the gutters first

Debris comes out before any washing starts, so the wet mess isn't running down boards we've just cleaned.

  2. Check the water actually runs

A gutter that looks empty can still be holding water at a sagging bracket or a blocked outlet. Better to find that now.

  3. Wash the PVC faces

Fascias, soffits and bargeboards cleaned down, including the underside where the streaking usually starts.

  4. Rinse off and clear the ground

What comes out of a gutter is unpleasant and it lands in the borders and on the path. It doesn't get left there.

  5. Flag anything that needs a repair

Split gutters, loose brackets, dropped joints. We'll tell you what we found and where, so you can get it seen to before it costs you a wall.

Worth knowing

Before you book

The things worth saying out loud in advance, including what this job can't fix.

Old PVC doesn't always come back white

Years of sunlight oxidise the surface of white PVC and it goes chalky and yellowed. Cleaning takes the dirt off, but the fading is in the plastic itself and no wash reverses it. Worth knowing before, not after.

Once a year is the usual rhythm

Most properties want the gutters done annually. Under trees, or with a mossy roof above, twice a year saves trouble.

We clean, we don't repair

Guttering repairs and replacement aren't services we offer. What we will do is tell you plainly what's wrong and where it is.

Questions

PVC & Gutter Cleaning — questions we get asked

Anything not covered here, ask when you enquire — it's easier to answer against the actual job.

How often should gutters be cleared?

Once a year suits most houses. If you've trees over the roof or moss on the tiles, twice a year is the safer rhythm — that's the debris that fills gutters fastest.

Will my old fascias come up like new?

They'll come up clean, but if the PVC has gone chalky or yellow with age, that's the plastic itself weathered by sunlight, not dirt on top of it. We'll tell you what to expect when we look.

Do you need access into the back garden?

Yes, for the back runs — gutters go all the way round. Let us know about locked gates, dogs or anything awkward when you enquire and we'll plan for it.

Something in the house or on the building that needs cleaning properly?
